Описание: Watch this explanatory video on "Glottochronology", a method in Historical Linguistics to know how to answer the question asked in the recently concluded CSE Mains 2023 Anthropology Paper 1.

This video by Kartic Godavarthy (now faculty at Vajiram and Ravi, New Delhi) also briefly differentiates Glottochronology from Lexicostatistics, another method that many confuse with the former. Both these methods are quantitative, and are used for understanding language divergence of, and similarities in two languages, respectively.
