Описание:
Holding a 4 jaw chuck in the 3 jaw chuck. Don't have a D1-6 4 jaw for the Trak lathe.
Covered the entire lathe with plastic and drop cloths to prevent ceramic from contaminating the machine surfaces.
Made makeshift cardboard way covers to cover machine surfaces.
Used 2 shop vacs with fine particle collection bags and filters to vacuum up as much chip as possible.
The cutting tool does more pulverizing than actual cutting. Material is very abrasive.
Ground inside edge of carbide tool w a 45 degree angle. This edge did most of the material removal when facing to center.
Ground outside edge of tool square with a .005 radius. This edge did the finish inside diameter and hold tolerance with minimal tool compensation.
