On Monday, March 2, 2026, the conflict between the U.S.-Israeli coalition and Iran spilled further into the Persian Gulf as the Kingdom of Bahrain came under direct missile fire for the second time in 48 hours. Eyewitnesses on the Amwaj Islands, roughly 25 minutes from the capital of Manama, reported hearing approximately five to six loud "bangs" consistent with air defense interceptions, followed by the wail of emergency sirens. The strikes are part of Iran’s promised "crushing response" following the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei on Saturday.
