This National Marine Week we will be taking some time to marvel at the wonder of our seas. However, sadly they are under pressure like never before, with decades of overexploitation, pollution, and unchecked development, which is resulting in a loss of wildlife and the destruction of underwater habitats. What’s worse is that we don’t even know what ‘healthy’ looks like! That’s why we need Highly Protected Marine Areas, the focus of a current Wildlife Trust campaign.
