In this video, mom experimented on using fresh rosemary leaves and mint leaves from the garden to give color and fragrance. The color turned out dark green. The smell is nice and maybe because of the peppermint essential oil.

Here are the basic ingredients:
4 cups water
48 oz vegetable shortening (Crisco)
32 oz coconut oil
16 oz olive oil
12 oz lye (use food-grade)
