At SHOT Show 2026, TYKMA Electrox demonstrated a fully automated laser marking workflow using a Universal Robots cobot paired with a 60W Minilase fiber laser system equipped with an automatic door.
In this demo, the cobot handles part loading and unloading while the laser system manages door control, job selection, and marking. This creates a closed-loop, hands-free production cycle.
The system was configured to mark black anodized aluminum business cards, including cerakote-coated surfaces. Using Cerakote Laser Imaging parameters, the laser selectively marks the cerakote layer to produce high-contrast logos and topographic patterns.
This demonstration highlights how TYKMA laser systems integrate into robotic and automated environments for repeatable, production-ready laser marking. The same automation architecture can be applied to a wide range of materials, coatings, and part geometries for manufacturers looking to scale laser engraving into automated production.
