Paul is a Geologist, Computer and Data Scientist by background. He has worked in the natural resources sector for over 30 years for both multinationals and technology startups. Twice awarded the United Kingdom's highest Business Award for enterprise innovation, he is also a Visiting Professor of Information Science & Technology at Robert Gordon University in Scotland. He serves on several international advisory committees in geoscience and AI and is currently Chair of the AI Ethics Task Group of the Commission on Geoethics of the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS).
