In the heart of Croatian Istria, on a small hill, north of the river Mirna, is the small village of Završje. For a long time, the village was hidden from tourists, surrounded by beautiful green nature. A walk through the settlement takes you back to the old days, as the path leads along a Roman road, past abandoned stone houses. Abandoned buildings, dominated only by stone and wood, bear witness to the rich past. Once there were 1000 inhabitants, today there are only 35 of them. In the 50s of the last century, most of the inhabitants moved out of the place, and with that also began the decline of the village, because no one maintained the abandoned houses.
