How to bleed your radiators with a key | BOXT Boilers

Описание: If your radiators aren't heating up properly, or the top of the radiators are cold to touch, then it could be time to grab your radiator key and bleed your radiators.

Bleeding the radiators with the radiator key is a quick and easy task. All you are going to need are two things:
1. An old cloth to catch any escaping water.
2. And a radiator bleed key.

Turn the heating off and make sure the radiators are cold before bleeding the radiators.

Holding the cloth underneath, insert the radiator bleed key into the valve and turn slowly anti-clockwise - until air starts escaping from the small vent hole, then, when you see water start to escape, turn the key clockwise to re-tighten the valve.

When you’re done, check the water pressure on the boiler because bleeding your radiators can affect the water pressure – it should read between 1 to 1.5 bar.
