On September 21st, I would travel to Chama, New Mexico to film the Cumbres & Toltec. I had been wanting to film this railroad for many years and I finally got the chance after having to change the original plan. @mainlinematt29 @CameraManRailFan & I ventured up and we had an absolute blast!
We started the day in Chama and chased the 484 up to Los Pinos where we would break off for lunch. After lunch we headed back to Los Pinos and found the 487 taking on water. We set up just up the railroad and followed 487 back down the grade. Both engines were cool to see and seeing the 484 storm up the 4% grade up to Cumbres Pass. Seeing the two types of fuel being used was also neat.
I hope to get back out to the C&TS again and I do also hope to get to the Durango & Silverton to shoot more D&RGW narrow gauge
