Chana Dal Palak Sabzi | Healthy & Tasty Recipe
Ingredients:
• Chana dal – 100 grams (soaked and boiled)
• Spinach (palak) – ½ bunch, chopped
• Onion – 1, finely chopped
• Tomato – 1, finely chopped
• Ginger – 1 inch, chopped
• Garlic – 4–5 cloves, chopped
• Oil – 2 teaspoons
• Cumin seeds (jeera) – 1 teaspoon
• Bay leaf – 1
• Cinnamon (dalchini) – 1 inch
• Cloves – 3–4
• Black pepper – 3–4
• Salt – to taste
• Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
• Kashmiri red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon
• Red chilli powder – ½ teaspoon
• Turmeric powder – ¼ teaspoon
• Lemon juice – 2 teaspoons
Method:
1. Heat oil in a kadhai over medium heat.
2. Add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, and black pepper. Let them crackle.
3. Add chopped onion, ginger, and garlic. Add a little salt and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Add Kashmiri red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Mix well.
5. Add chopped tomato and cook for 1 minute until soft.
6. Add coriander powder and red chilli powder. Mix well.
7. Add chopped spinach and sauté for 2–3 minutes until it wilts.
8. Add the boiled chana dal and mix well. Cook for 2 minutes.
9. Add lemon juice, mix gently, and turn off the heat.
10. Serve hot with roti or rice.
