The US military has said a Chinese fighter jet flew within 10 feet of an American bomber and also released a video. US officials said that the Chinese fighter pilot nearly crashed into an American B-52 bomber over the South China Sea during a nighttime intercept. The US Indo-Pacific Command said the pilot of the Chinese J-11 jet executed an unsafe intercept on the night of October 24. The pilot "demonstrated poor airmanship" and flew the jet at an uncontrolled excessive speed, flying below and in front of the American B-52 bomber, it added. The video shows the Chinese jet closing in quickly on the B-52, passing in front of and below the American jet’s wing.
