Once again until the end! is the battle cry of the Gentlemen Bastards - house band extraordinaire of Lovelands, the legendary underground music venue and the Wellington music scene's best kept secret!

Tom, Phil, two Steve’s and 10th drummer Chris, make up the songwriting machine whose influences include Pink Floyd, David Bowie, The Beatles, Split Enz, Jimi Hendrix and the Rolling Stones to name a few. This notorious original 5 piece band mix hot rock and pure ballads in a hedonistic cocktail that gets ya head spinning & ya arse shaking.

The Gentlemen Bastards are the epitome of Kiwi original rock. Some compare them to the Dunedin underground rock scene from the past, others hear elements of punk and scar. Certainly know one has compared them to any Classical Opera yet. They're hard to put in a box because each Gentlemen Bastard track claims a different genre. With GB’s home and sound originating from the famous underground rock venue of Lovelands, we like to simply call it Shed Rock!

From the good-time 'Vibe' & the international hit 'Damn Amsterdam' to the kiwi classic 'Could I Be Wrong' and the searingly soulful 'Someday', the Gentlemen Bastards set the night (and themselves!) on fire. With a set that can be chosen from about about 70 original songs, the classics still get played.

With 38 private released albums under their belts with titles like "Bong Chop City Stop", "Mustard Sunset", "Extreme Rack" and “Tripping under the lights” all made especially for their own private listening pleasure. So at last they thought it was about time to hit the Lovelands studio and record an album for their fans, keep an eye out for this in 2035, it should be done by then.
