Film-maker Cat talks about how gay tv and films affect lives from a personal perspective and then as a film-maker discusses how to make films that are informed by a gay perspective: but don't just belong in a gay box.
Cat chose 3 online videos Based around the First Love Project, an online video collection of people's experiences of First Love created for the Fringe Film Fest 2012.
Cat McShane has made TV documentaries for the BBC, Channel 4 and charity projects.
