In Germany paragliders may only been used if they passed legal requirements, depending on LTF/EN standardised homologation. DHV-Safety-Class-Tests are much stricter than legal requirements and give pilots more detailed information to decide, which glider fits best to their pilots skills.
Part 1 of this video gives a short introduction to the DHV-Safety-Test and to DHV database.
At the end DHV Safety Administrator Karl Slezak is answering most frequent questions.
Part 2 is featuring test pilot Simon Winkler giving brief introduction into Safety Test methods and demonstrating several test flying manouvers.
