Jonsered cs 2166, vs Stihl ms461 vs Stihl 066

Описание: A thanks goes out to my assistant, Action J, for the stabilization of the test log and sanitization of the work area.
So in the spirit of R & D, we have various segments in the process of the J-Red's progress timeline. Seen here with the Got Flow? 2.0 fitment air filtration modification. We will be looking at the stock air cleaner setup as well in other viewings. As far as I can tell based on the performance and timed runs, it definitely helps.
I ran it against the 461 and a 390 in another comparison since the J-red is a, well, red Husky to a degree.
As mentioned, the Jonny had the worst go of it with the knot. The 461 had the second worst of it, by design, because the 2166 & 461 are more in line cc wise. The 461 was slower in the two cuts with the knot intact. The 066 had the better cutting and was faster than the 461, as expected. It was also a little faster in the underbucking run, but, no knot was present either. The 066 was slower in the self-feeding portion going down so a guy needs to give the "little saw that could" some kudos there.
Timed runs as monitored in the original clip are as follows:
J-Red ~ 8:17 & 8:12
461 ~ 9:34, 8:76 (w knot), 8:06 (w/o knot)
066 ~ 8:58 & 7:30 (both w/o knot)
I 'm happy with the outcome of the Jonsered. It will hold it's own and even do some winning against some larger displacement and hp saws.
All test runs performed with a Tsumara lw 30" bar and Carlton full chisel and skip chain.
~ 3000 feet in the sky at this location.
