Congress leader Palvai Sravanthi resigned from the party and joined Bharat Rashtra Samithi ahead of the Telangana Assembly election. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Spokesperson, Sravanthi, said that the party hasn't given her due priority.
In the letter to Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Sravanthi mentioned that the party was in the hands of "brokers".
"This election is a crucial election for everyone. It is very important for every party to have a strong line of women, not someone's daughter, wives, but women who can stand on their own feet.
