Dipankara Messiah Living Buddha Yonghwa Maitreya Descends to the Saha World
죽음 앞에 쓰러진 그 순간,
사바세계에 오신 빛을 뵈었네.
왕진가방 메고 걸어오시는,
생불 약사여래 용화미륵대불메시아.


부처님은 궁전 속에 계시지 않고,
항상 중생 곁에서 고통을 함께하시네.
아픈 자를 치유하시고,
쓰러진 자 일으키시네.
이분이 참 부처님, 진정한 깨우친 님.


용화미륵대불, 생불 약사여래,
하나님이시여, 천국을 보여주셨네.
고통은 사라지고 마음은 평안하니,
중생 속에 함께하신 그분이 부처님.


기도해도 대답 없던 불상 앞에서,
절망하던 나의 눈물 닦아주시네.
입김으로 흰 빛 내리시며,
“열한 달 지나면 너를 데려가리라.”
그 약속 속에 나는 살았네.


용화미륵대불, 생불 약사여래,
하나님이시여, 천국을 보여주셨네.
고통은 사라지고 마음은 평안하니,
중생 속에 함께하신 그분이 부처님.


궁전 아닌 거리 속, 신도 아닌 병든 자,
부처님은 그 속에서 웃고 계셨네.
“어디가 아픈가?” 물어주실 때,
죽음 같은 고통은 눈 녹듯 사라지네.


용화미륵대불, 참 부처님이시여,
중생의 고통을 함께 지고 가시는 님.
나는 이제 알았네, 진짜 부처님은
중생 속에 계신 사랑의 하나님.

At the moment I fell before death,
I beheld the Light who came to this saha world.
Carrying a doctor’s bag, walking toward me,
The Living Buddha, Medicine Master, Yonghwa Maitreya Messiah.

The Buddha does not dwell in palaces,
But always remains beside sentient beings in suffering.
Healing the sick,
Raising up the fallen—
This is the true Buddha, the truly Awakened One.

Yonghwa Maitreya Great Buddha, Living Medicine Master,
O Lord, You have shown me Heaven.
Suffering disappears, my heart finds peace,
For the One dwelling among beings is the Buddha.

Before statues where prayers met no reply,
In despair, my tears were wiped away by Him.
With His breath, He sent down a white light,
Saying, “After eleven months, I will take you with Me.”
Within that promise, I found life.

Yonghwa Maitreya Great Buddha, Living Medicine Master,
O Lord, You have shown me Heaven.
Suffering disappears, my heart finds peace,
For the One dwelling among beings is the Buddha.

Not in palaces, but in the streets; not with the devout, but with the sick,
There the Buddha was smiling.
When He asked, “Where does it hurt?”
The pain like death melted away like snow.

Yonghwa Maitreya Great Buddha, the true Buddha,
The One who bears the suffering of all beings.
Now I have come to know—the real Buddha is
The Lord of Love dwelling among us.
