Live performance of Tol & Tol's hitsingle Eleni (1989), performed at Thomas Tol in Concert, Hoorn, the Netherlands on 27 February 2022.
The Tol brothers were members of BZN (= Band Zonder Naam ⇒ Band without a name) since the early days in 1969 till 1988. Thomas Tol composed most of their songs , including the Dutch number 1 hits Mon Amour (1976) and Pearlydumm (1980).
In 1988 the Tol brothers left BZN and started a career as a duo. Their most successful song was their debut single 'Eleni' in 1990, which not only hit the charts in the Netherlands , Belgium and Germany , but also in many other countries including the USA. The Dutch-based Greek singer Corina Vamvakari , granddaughter of Markos Vamvakaris and niece of Tol & Tol, served as a cooperation partner for this title.
In 2019 and 2022, Thomas Tol performed his favorite compositions/songs during a short concerttour in Volendam (2019) and Hoorn (2022), the Netherlands.
Ofcourse Eline, with Corina Vamvakari was one of them.
