We had done some research about Parali island and Thinnakara island earlier. Had heard a lot about how beautiful the island is, the waters and so on and on. We were excited to explore the island.

We started the day early in the morning since it would get pretty hot during the day. We were joined by some other passengers as well. We started the boat along the turquoise blue waters.

The island was visible to Bangaram island all the while, so I wondered how different can it be! We reached the island and wow! What a beauty it was! It is hard to express the beauty of the island and the beach. We were then taken to the other side of the island. On the way we went past a local’s home.

The home was very basic and what struck me was that they were still using radio! The radio was playing!! It is the only means by which they get the information! They also had a kitchen where they would make organic jaggery! The jaggery from coconut milk! That was something unique. They explained how they make it as well. We were also offered some of the jaggery as well. It was tasty and very sticky! Wondered how they came up with the idea to make a jaggery out of a produce from coconut tree!

We then headed to the other side of the beach through the forest. We reached the other side of the beach, a very short beach and it was already quite sunny and hot!

And in the middle of nowhere we saw a cruise ship sailing! It was quite far but clearly visible. We however couldn’t figure out if it was Cordelia cruise, but we are pretty sure that it was indeed Cordelia cruise since no other cruise ship sails near the Lakshadweep island. We quickly got some pictures against the fast moving cruise ship and moved back into the island.

The island is also home to one of the Praveg Hotel and Resorts property where they have number of rooms. Just while we were walking back to the island, the view of the sea and the beach was mesmerizing! It was just amazing. Picture perfect. We took some more photos and videos before heading out to Parali island.
