Handyman Saitou In Another World is an isekai I feel not only desperately needs some time in the spotlight, but may just be the breath of fresh air many isekai viewers have been waiting for. I’m sure the moment I uttered the anime’s name a handful of people rolled their eyes in annoyance. It’s evident right from the promotional poster that it’s not the most revolutionary or original isekai out there, but that’s not a knock against the show...

Handyman Saitou is an isekai that offers a well-needed change of pace for the scene, with a more grounded and focused fantasy experience, keeping all the best elements of the genre, while not failing into the trap of feeling like "just another isekai". Accompanied by fantastic characterization, side-splitting humour, pockets of dazzling action, and a surprisingly emotional and culturally relevant central message that simply… hits different.

Handyman Saitou is and isn’t a lot of things, but if i could classify it as anything, it’s something well worth your time. Hopefully I can do this anime some much needed justice (without diving too much into spoilers) and can convince some of you to give this seemingly sub-standard isekai a chance.
