In today's show we will learn about the creation of the 9th Division, their losses and campaigns before the Forest, including crossing the Meuse River. We then move on to learn about the following battles: Lamersdorf, Hill 554, Pausterbach, Alzen Ridge, Schevenhütte, Germeter, Deadman's Moor, Gressenich, Hamich, Hill 232, Hill 167, Krewinkel, Nothburg, Bovenburg Farm and Frenzerburg Castle.

We will also hear the stories of various veterans of the 9th, Yuri has researched and written about.

Our guest today is Yuri Beckers, born in Maastricht, a city in the southern part of the Netherlands. He is the creator of the incredible 9th Infantry Division website https://9thinfantrydivision.net/. In this show he will talk about the various engagements and actions of the Division in the battle including personal stories from men he has interviewed and researched.
