Описание: This morning an unknown caller allegedly called the NBC Otjiherero Radio station, saying that he witnessed a child being dragged into a house in Golgotha. Many residents heard this information and rushed to the location. When no one responded to their calls, they started throwing stones at the house to get the inhabitants to step outside. Before One Africa Television caught wind of the incident, footage was being circulated on social media. Upon arriving on the scene, Today on One spoke to an angry community resident who alleged that this was not the first time the community witnessed suspicious activity at the residence. He said that he had on a previous occasion, tried to enter the house after having seen two children been taken into the house. The Namibian Police force, at first, refused to let anyone inside the residence and only gave a statement to the media hours after the mob gathered. They responded by saying that the entire affair was merely speculation. Khomas Regional Commander, Sylvanus Nghishindimbwa said police resources have been wasted on a speculation, as the police used tear gas, and rubber bullets and also called in a helicopter. Today on One was finally allowed into the house, but was restricted to the kitchen. No suspicious activity was obvious. The owner of the home refused to speak on camera. He did however say that he was too emotional to comment. Meanwhile, a young man was harassed at the scene, after he drove his car while the police were trying to close off the road. The passenger he was with, alleged to be an officer in civilian clothes was seen slapped in the face by an officer. Residents told Today on One that this isn't the first time that kids are being taken into this house and are begging the police to investigate this situation.
