My attempt at using a tabla sample provided by Hardware Jams for the weekend challenge. The challenge being to simply create something around it.
Never used a sample before because I don’t have the gear to incorporate them into my live noodling at the moment and I avoid using a laptop wherever possible.
I stuck the sample into the Koala sampler in my phone then recorded that into the R12 (8 track). Then created a very rough composition using voice samples, the tablas and some Rhodes keys.
Then I played the R12 into the mixer and jammed along to that, recording it with the live Mic.
The things you have to do when you’re missing a few cables 😂
Anyways, it’s very loose but was good fun in the end.
