The Wizard of Oz- Complete Over the Rainbow Reprise Reconstruction; Extended Script Version

Описание: You are viewing a complete reconstruction of a deleted scene from The Wizard of Oz entitled "Over the Rainbow Reprise". This reconstruction is considered complete because I have a added scenes from the final film version to help you better visualize where the scene would have taken place. I created this reconstruction following a script that was lasted edited in March of 1939. This script has several differences from the final film such as it shows more showings of Dorothy locked in the Witch's castle while the Lion, Tin Man, and Scarecrow are coming to rescue her. As well as different transitions to different scenes. "After the Witch leaves Dorothy alone in her tower, with only the cursed hourglass to keep the girl company, Dorothy pounds on the door and tries to escape, to no avail. As she begins to cry, she slowly makes her way towards the Witch's crystal ball as she begins to sing." (description) This repraisal was sung live on set by Garland, as the emotion needed would've made the song too difficult to successfully lip sync, she was accompanied by her musical mentor Roger Edens on piano with orchestration being added in later. The script that was used to create this reconstruction has the chourus of the song cut. However, I though it was far to beautiful to leave out so I left it in. I used the scene where Dorothy cries that Toto has escaped due to the fact that there is a surviving photo from this scene that shows Dorothy at the Window so perhaps this shot was cut when the chorus was cut. However, these are just my personal findings. Please enjoy.
