In an effort to maintain green cover and to attract children towards nature, the forest department has developed a ‘Tree Park’ at its picturesque Aloka palace which is spread on a 500 acre land. Many movies including Kannada, Tamil, Hindu and even Malayalam movies have been shot here.

The authorities have spent nearly Rs 50 lakh to set up this park. Apart from various adventurous events, the park has got amphitheatres, pergolas, tunnel cross, tyre-swing, swimming, easy bezy, horizontal ladder, amphitheater, walking paths, trucking path, Elephant Park and a pond. The park is also having a football ground, basketball court and in future they have plans to come out with shuttle and volleyball court. The park is ideal place to relax for not only children but also to everyone. The ambiance is perfect place for all.

At Aloka palace which is spread in 538 acres, the place where prince used to relax after coming from hunting and where Tree Park is set up will have 50,000 more saplings which include 50 different varieties of plants including few medicinal plants. Already more than 100 different species of birds are seen in this palace, if more trees come up, the palace will have forest like get up and more birds are can also be expected”.
