This video was mainly done for nostalgia and to test how well I could get a PS1 game to look when recording off my PS2.
This has been played and recorded from a PS2 console, no emulator was used. I mainly came back to this game for nostalgia reasons, I remember buying it years ago in a store while not even knowing it had been released. I got a huge Greymon plush with it too but unfortunately have lost it over the many years.
So after coming back to the game I decided to just jump in and play through the story mode with Agumon. I choose Agumon purely because he is a Digimon I am most familiar with but it didn't take long to remember he was not my main character in this game, nevertheless I finished off his playthrough. I ended up fighting Black War Greymon too, I think that was because I didn't lose a round up to that point. Then I faced Reapermon...Oh my god is that guy infuriating. I completely forgot how annoying he was! It's not shown in the video but I literally had to attempt him about 20 times before I could beat him, and to think I was beating him regularly when I was younger!
I think the cheap tactic of beating him is choosing Impmon as he is supposed to be pretty broken against him.
I may play through some more characters from this game depending on my mood and how the video quality turns out in the end. I could easily play on an emulator for quality but I never get the same enjoyment from it for some reason, maybe its the controller.
Digimon Rumble Arena (デジモンテイマーズ バトルエボリューション Dejimon Teimāzu Batoru Eboryūshon?, Digimon Tamers Battle Evolution) is a crossover fighting video game developed and published by Bandai in association with Hudson Soft for the PlayStation video game console.
