Want to get all players involved with a fielding warm up on match day?

Fielding Chain is a relay race passing warm up that tests throwing, catching, and team work.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Set up a set of stumps for each of 2 teams
Working away from the stumps place a zig-zag pattern of cones a few metres apart
Split the group into 2 teams
1 player goes to the stumps, the rest go to a cone each
A number of balls start at the top cone, furthest from the stumps
The teams must pass the balls, one by one, cone by cone, down the line until it reaches the last player on a cone
That player must throw to stumps, either a direct hit or to the player waiting there
If the ball is dropped or the throw misses or is fumbled it returns to the top to start again
If the run is clean, drop the ball by the stumps and the player there runs to the top cone
The other players all shift down one
First team to get all the balls to the stumps wins

Make the game harder by increasing the space between cones.
