This robot learned football by playing itself for 140 years

Описание: We trained a robot to play football.

How? Self-play for 140 years in a virtual World Cup.

It was born in a physics simulation. For 140 years, our model played against increasingly tough opponents, each one a previous version of itself.

Once it was ready, we challenged it to a match. ⚽

AlphaGo taught us that self-play can lead to emergent, superhuman behavior. We're bringing it to the physical world.
