tablet vonoprazan uses
Vonoprazan is primarily used for the treatment of acid-related disorders, such as:
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD): GERD is a condition in which stomach acid flows back into the esophagus, causing heartburn, chest pain, and other symptoms. Vonoprazan is used to treat and prevent symptoms of GERD.
Gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers: Vonoprazan is used to heal and prevent ulcers in the stomach and small intestine caused by excessive acid production.
Non-erosive reflux disease (NERD): NERD is a form of GERD in which there is no visible damage to the esophagus. Vonoprazan is used to relieve symptoms of NERD.
Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: This is a rare condition in which a tumor in the pancreas or duodenum causes the stomach to produce too much acid. Vonoprazan is used to control acid production in people with this condition.
