This gentle musical story was created for my granddaughter Rachel, inspired by her love of music and the recorder.
Set in an English woodland at the beginning of spring, the piece begins with a simple melody and slowly grows as the forest listens, gathers, and begins to move together. Recorder, lute, and a quiet tabor pulse lead the dance, not as a performance, but as an invitation.
This film is intended to be calm, imaginative, and unhurried — a place where music brings warmth, friendship, and a sense of belonging. It is offered as a small musical world for a child to enjoy, and perhaps to inspire melodies of their own.
