Our first Artist of the Week is bassist/producer par excellence Shaun Johannes.
Shaun is not only one of the most in-demand bass players in South Africa but also a top educator – he is a part time lecturer in Jazz Studies at the South African College of Music, UCT and has taught extensively throughout South Africa. He has been a visiting clinician in Namibia and France and has a passion for community music development projects. He has played and recorded with the likes of George Benson, Johnny Clegg and Hugh Masekela.
