From her breakout role on Dance Academy to a Hollywood career across hit TV shows, DJing at festivals around the globe (including Coachella!) to returning home to Australia, Dena has lived many lives. But her most powerful chapter has been the one she’s living now — a journey of healing from addiction and mental health struggles, and turning that pain into purpose.
We talk about how we met, the layers of her story that often go unseen, and the ways her healing has inspired my own. Dena has not only helped me through some of my darkest moments with tools and wisdom, but she has also become one of my lifelong friends.
