Chinese Nationalism VS Japanese Imperialism - War and Revolution in Asia (1920-1932)

Описание: In this next chapter of the Making of Modern Japan Series, I turn my attention towards the military, and the rush to war in China. I look at the rise of the Kuomintang Party, Chiang Kai-Shek and the prominence of Chinese Nationalism. I go from the KMT's Northern Expedition to Japanese Imperialism, and fears that growing nationalism on the mainland would block expansion into Manchuria. I look at Japanese army factionalism, the orchestration of false flags to enter Manchuria, and the hardening of the Manchukuo fascist coalition that would take shape in the 1930s.
