Introducing the Toontrack Trackathon which is launching for the first time at #MTFScandi
The Trackathon runs from Saturday afternoon right through to Sunday afternoon, and participants will compete, collaborate and experiment to make an entire song from scratch using the Toontrack EZDrummer 2 software at the core of the song - as well as a collection of sounds and samples donated by prominent musicians from around the world. These exclusive sounds will be presented to the producers at the start of the trackathon, and the songs created will be built around those sounds.
Our judging panel of international recording artists will select the best song to win a suite of software and a bundle of drum sound expansions from Toontrack. The best tracks will also be released on Bandcamp as a ‘pay what you want’ release - and all proceeds will be donated to a mental health charity - to raise awareness and to address the problem of depression, which is widespread among bedroom producers and musicians.
