Being as long as it is, this would be a good resource for learning the fight. As such ive decided to highlight many key attacks and my input on how to deal with them
• 0:27 After punishing Fireball start moving anticlockwise to his side in order to strafe double hilt slam. He can do Wobbly Horizontal Swing Into Poke from there so dodge with it as shown in 1:17
• 1:42 Two main ways of dealing with Double Wobbly Horizontal Swing. Shown here is getting behind him either through a roll or if quick enough a strafe (better)
• 1:58 For Fronthop Poke you should roll into it to bait out and strafe single hilt slam
• 7:04 This is the second way to deal with Double Wobbly Horizontal Swing. You can bait out Hilt Stab and Single Wobbly Horizontal Swing which has a good chance to lead to Delayed Thrust (This can happen after second swing, Hilt Stab (shown here) and single swing)
• 12:57 When he does Double Hilt Slam while you are in front of him, with powerstance straight swords you can jump early (when his hand is in the air for the second slam) and get a jump l1 into l1 punish before he can Belly Flop
• 15:36 The idea behind capitalising on blackflame ritual is to go to the side so if he Fireballs his body will be just outside and you can punish it.
• 16:24 in open arenas such as this you can easily chase nobles roll which will avoid it, you can also roll through it multiple times. This lasts 10.5 seconds so for arenas like in volcano manor keep a mental note on amount of time passed
• 16:42 Fumbling Horizontal Swing in P2 can now lead into Delayed Thrust so bait it out when possible
• 17:56 One of two ways to deal with rapier flurry depending on position (this is the best way to deal with it)
• 18:36 If you are mid rolling then when he starts blackflame ritual when you're close you should jump over it. Rapier flurry is a follow up to blackflame ritual in p2 so keep distance, this is the 2nd way of dealing with rapier flurry
On P1 Belly Flop:
For No Hit this is the main move to play around in P1. It is nigh unreactable and should instead be predicted and positioned around. Attacking in neutral is largely unsafe without higher ranged options (Powerstanced SS is just long enough to be safe in neutral with good spacing). I believe this has a soft cooldown of 10s so it becomes safer to attack in neutral
On P2 Noble Presence:
This attack comes out at Frame 29 when played with 60 frames, which makes this one of the fastest attacks on a boss in elden ring. when considering the pressing and releasing a roll, this move can be reaction rolled but it can be unreasonable for many. Generally then predicting it is your main goal.
Noble Presence has a 15s soft cooldown and can only happen when directly infront of him. It also has a high priority over all of his other attacks. What this means is that you can generally control when Noble Presence happens by keeping track of the cooldown and being in front of him at specific times. This does mean you sacrifice some aggression however overall control over the fight is paramount for long kills such as this.
