Watch me absorb and organize extremely complex info about the new Model Context Protocol by Anthropic.|
If you've noticed that Claude and other LLM's can connect to services like Notion, Gmail, Github, more easily now, IT'S BC OF THIS!
MCP is the big new thing that allows you as an app to let ANY LLM connect. So if you owned Gmail, instead of creating your own AI assistant (only) you could build an MCP server, and your gmail users could decide whether to use Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any other LLM client to connect with Gmail.
Anyway, this is mainly about the LEARNING METHOD. I am sketching out in my head (I mean Notion, all brain functions and memory has been outsourced to Notion)
This is 1 hour of learning, sped up 20x.
In the video, I have Notion up on the left, in a task that says to study MCP, and I have the MCP docs (at first the javascript sdk, then, after realizing i started too zoomed in, i "zoomed out" to cover the general concepts, no matter the language)
I am "translating" the right (docs) to the left (notion page, my MCP knowledge tree)
That is the main thing I hope you learn from this video, is how to "translate", aka "chop up", aka "organize", information into levels based on nesting.
If you wanna see this learning method with a simpler subject, let me know.
