There are a few ways to make things with GFRC. For a rougher look, you can make the mix pretty dry and hand pack it into a mold. You can spray it through a hopper gun or make it into a self leveling mix that you can pour into a mold. To make a self consolidating mix you need a plasticizer. This allows you to use far less water (this mix has a .24 water to cement ratio) which results in a much stronger concrete. Normally we would add either Owens Corning AR glass fiber or NEG PVA fiber. For this demo we left the fiber out so you could easily see the plasticizer's effect on the mix.
