Madison Gulf Trail - Best Hikes In The White Mountains - Terrifying 25

Описание: In this video I conquer another Terrifying 25 trail in the White Mountains of New Hampshire called 'Madison Gulf Trail'. This trail is located in the Great Gulf Wilderness, and is notorious for being difficult to follow, and treacherously steep! Getting to the very start of this trail required me to hike 2 miles along the AT on a trail called 'Old Jackson Rd' until I crossed the Mt Washington Auto Rd to finally approached the start of the Madison Gulf Trail. The Great Gulf Wilderness is such a breathtaking area and I highly recommend it to those comfortable navigating It, and going the extra miles to explore its beauty.
Though I did add a couple miles to my original plan, I'm glad I did! I found some of the most beautiful waterfalls I've seen in the Northeast. Totally worth the extra steps on my journey.
This was also my 3rd summit of Mt Madison, standing at 5,370 ft. It is the northern most peak in the Presidential Range of NH.

Please don't attempt this hike or any other before you are fully aware and prepared for the conditions you will face. Water, food, gear, knowledge of the area, emergency supplies, SOS device. Etc. These are all important things to have before heading out, as well as being mentally and physically prepared for the conditions. Knowing when to turn around due to weather or fatigue is also key. Bailout plans or turn around points are critical.
