Описание: Pod Squad swims every day of the year, 2K's, North Cott to Cott and back. The summer solstice swim, Saturday 21 December 2024, was also time for some formalities (an ode to the sun) pre-swim and celebrations post-swim (coffee, cake and the Crooners). The main event was the swim. Swimmers met perfect conditions, flat water, low swell, 22-degree water, and light offshore winds. The sets were written up on the board pre-swim and swimmers were GO. Some had flippers! Others had a water polo ball! They headed out around the reef and down to the holding pen, regrouped, heard a few jokes and then the swim sets to the Cott Groyne. Swim outside the net was the call, 4x100’s, 50 medley 50 free. The Chopper "Lifesaver 68", "The Boaties" and Ski Paddlers on their Christmas Moet Rowie, Jet Skis, some of the swimmers' kids on skis and boards and the drone above were “water safety” . The sets home were challenging, 8 X 100's hard/easy. However, everyone, old and young agreed it was another great and memorable Pod Squad swim.
