France's opposition Socialists, facing a tough election barely
three weeks away, on Friday (2/5) issued a 16-page programme for
government, pledging more jobs by boosting spending-power and
cutting back the working week.
The Socialists welcomed the election in Britain of Tony Blair's
Labour Party as a good omen for their own chances.
