Murwillumbah is located in the Northern Rivers NSW Region just a little south of the Queensland border.

Recorded just 7 weeks after the massive 2022 Murwillumbah flood, apart from a remnant of muddiness in the Tweed River, you wouldn’t know there had been such an event when viewing the local landscape by drone. The view is just delightfully beautiful. I think we can call Murwillumbah a worthy ‘daytrip destination’ again.

Unseen though, there are still local folk struggling to recover from the flood damage to their homes, possessions and cars. Outside of town many of the Tweed Shire’s roads are still undergoing repairs. Some, where there were major landslips, will take up to 6 months to repair. Nevertheless, on a fine sunny morning or afternoon, the Tweed Valley landscape is wonderfully photogenic.

I haven’t used captions in this video, as I wanted to leave the footage largely clear so the vision could be enjoyed without distraction. If enough people would like a captioned version of the video, showing names of landmarks, mountains etc. then let me know in the comments section below and I will see if I can create a captioned or subtitled version.
