Just comparing 4K footage recorded, and as-displayed on an UHD-4K Monitor.
Left footage is the in-game footage, recorded at 100Mbps, x264 ultrafast, 60FPS, 3180x2160.
Right footage is a monitor recording, recorded at 30Mbps, mp4, 30FPS, 3180x2160 (yes, the recording FPS is slower then the UHD 4K's monitor refresh rate).
The left footage has "lag spikes" which are not present when the game is actually played (evident by the right side). I don't know if x264 has a setting faster then "ultrafast". Also, I would like to see x265 (HEVC) support - that would be nice...
Uploaded as x265 4K@60FPS.
Youtube refuses to process the video as 4K. Fair enough, I guess that x265 is too expensive to render at this point in time - even for YouTube.
