Born in Caracas in 1903, st. María del Monte Carmelo Rendiles Martínez overcame physical limitation to found the Servants of Jesus of Caracas — a congregation dedicated to Eucharistic devotion and service to the poor. Her deep love for Christ inspired a legacy of compassion, prayer, and charity that still transforms lives today. After two confirmed miracles attributed to her intercession — one leading to her beatification in 2018 and another approved by Pope Francis in March 2025 — she was canonized a saint of the Catholic Church on October 19, 2025, in Saint Peter’s Square, Rome.
