improvising on a broken piano back home

felt pretty empty inside recently, so i decided to take a 4.4k km flight back home to my parents. there was an old, slightly detuned piano waiting in the corner of my bed room. i tried to tune it by ear, but no matter how much i adjusted it, it still sounded a bit off — in a beautiful, nostalgic way. since the piano is quite old, it’s hard to control the transients, so some notes came out louder than i meant them to.
didn’t have much time to come up with something complete, so i just recorded a short improvisation. it wasn’t perfect, but it felt honest. haven’t played a real piano in a while, but i still love it.
