Preparing my lie-flat seat on ITA Airways A321 Business Class from Dubai to Rome.
The crew first cleared my table, set up the bed, and handed over a blanket and pillow. The seat stretches to a fully flat position, roughly 78 inches (198 cm) in length and 22 inches (56 cm) in width — decent for a short-haul wide-body product, but not the most comfortable I’ve tried.
ITA’s A321neo Business Class comes in a 1-1 layout, with Thompson Vantage-style seats offering direct aisle access, adjustable lighting, USB-C and power outlets, and 17.3” IFE screens. But comfort-wise, there’s still room to improve.
Not bad. But not premium enough for a flagship route like this.
