Because I cant fit everything in one video, I thought I could give y'all more information about the effectiveness of coconut oil on 4c low porosity natural hair. Y'all know that my hair doesn't like coconut oil if I leave it in my hair, however this time I thought I should try it as a pre-poo as I will be rinsing it out. You don't have to use water before applying the coconut oil, I needed to record this video & get going, please apply it directly to your hair, let it sit for a few seconds then start detangling. Its super important that you pre-poo your hair before starting your wash day routine okay.

The brand of coconut oil doesn't matter, just make sure that it's pure organic coconut oil. It important that you are gentle with you detangle your hair to avoid unnecessary breakage from your protective style. As mentioned, I kept my braid for about 3.5 weeks and I was ready to let them go.
