The severe weather threat shifts into the Charlotte area on Monday. Starting in the morning, strong storms will push through the mountains and foothills eventually making it across the metro during the midafternoon hours. Our highest risk for severe storms is Monday afternoon and evening. The highest impacts expected are damaging winds 60+ mph, tornadoes possible, and quarter-sized hail.
