8hp70 transmission doesn't have a great reputation for holding up when a car has high horsepower! In this the Twin-Turbo 6.5L 397 making 730whp & 680 in torque will test the stock 8hp70 transmission. Hp70 transmission is slipping during heavy acceleration. The HP/Torque levels are much higher then what a stock transmission is rated for. Most R/T, Scatpack & 392 owners upgrade to the Hellcat 8hp90 which has a much higher hp/torque rating. The hp70 needs to be built up or swapped for a hp90 at some point.
Hellcat transmission swap for the Hp70 in the Scatpack, R/T & V6 seems the most popular route.
