Over a decade ago I was asked to play in a band for a local country singer, and a year or so later the "original" band morphed into a top 40 country cover band since the country cover scene around Chicago was blowing up and there were plenty of gigs to be had! I stayed in that band for almost 5 years and between then and now I've had the privilege of being asked to play for many of the top Chicago country cover bands.
Brad Paisley has been one of my favorite current country artists. He's a badass on guitar and has a great band backing him up. Here's my take on his 2003 song "Mud On The Tires".
One take, no edits, no triggering. The kit is an early 70's Premier African Mahogany B202 with a 6.5x14 aluminum model # 2003 snare. Cymbals are all Paiste: 15" Twenty hats, 18" and 19" Twenty thin crashes, 22" Twenty ride and an 18" PSTX swiss thin crash.
